Replacing Siding With the Character of Brick
The existing vinyl siding did not provide the substantial masonry appearance desired for the building. Dryvit NewBrick offered a way to introduce the color, texture, and visual depth of brick without the dimensions and weight of conventional full-depth masonry.
Cornerstone installed the brick veneer across the building’s exterior, integrating the system around windows, corners, entrances, and existing architectural details. Careful layout and consistent installation allowed the new facade to feel like a cohesive part of the building rather than a surface-level addition.

A Lightweight Brick Veneer System
NewBrick is an engineered, lightweight insulated brick veneer designed to reproduce the appearance and texture of traditional brick. Its reduced depth and weight make it an option for commercial renovations and other projects where a conventional brick assembly may not be the preferred solution.
For Rockland Trust, the system made it possible to replace the visual appearance of siding with a more permanent-looking brick facade while working within the proportions of the existing building.
Work Observed by Dryvit
During construction, a Dryvit representative visited the Brockton jobsite to observe the NewBrick installation firsthand. The representative watched the Cornerstone crew work and filmed portions of the process as the commercial facade took shape.
What Dryvit observed led to another opportunity. Chris and his team were later invited to the manufacturer’s Rhode Island facility, where they installed and filmed sample brick panels demonstrating how several systems should be applied and how a carefully executed installation could look.
The invitation grew directly from the work Dryvit saw Cornerstone complete on an active commercial jobsite.
The Finished Commercial Exterior
The completed exterior replaced dated siding with the warmth, depth, and established character of brick. The NewBrick facade complements the building’s traditional architecture while giving the Brockton property a stronger and more cohesive commercial presence.
This 2019 project demonstrates Cornerstone’s experience with engineered brick veneer systems, detailed facade installation, and commercial masonry work throughout Brockton and southeastern Massachusetts.
